Oh my, it’s been a busy week of scrapping. Sometimes, trying to create a layout is like trying to get up the energy to do laundry; other times, the muse hits and ideas flow faster than I can create. The latter describes my week. Here are just two of the many layouts I created this week.
I created this layout for the May Random Challenge at The LilyPad. The challenge was to create a layout using mini photos, no more than 2×3. I found these adorable photos of Stephen from when he was in preschool and decided that Little Butterfly Wing’s collection Soak Up the Sun would be a great match. I love the bright colors and shabby look of her papers.
This layout I created for The LilyPad’s Photography challenge. This month, we were to focus on getting close to the subject. Morgan took this photo of Shadow and I zoomed in close to show her sleeping. For International Scrapbook Day, The LilyPad had two “free with purchase” collaborations available. I fell in love with the vellum hexagon created by Mommyish in Rituals, Evening, and built the layout around that.
I love how a scrapbook kit can inspire a layout. What are your favorite kits? I’d love to hear what inspires you to create. Leave a comment here.
